FIR Against 11 For Building Illegal Colony In Pataudi
The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has recommended an FIR against 11 persons for carving out an unauthorised colony in Pataudi. A DTCP team had razed the colony on April 30, demolishing 54 structures.
On June 5, the office of DTCP (enforcement) wrote to Police Commissioner Sandeep Khirwar and recommended an FIR against Vijay Singh, Misro Devi, Anita, Amit Yadav, Bir Singh, Jaswant, Yajvinder, Babu Lal, Rakesh Dayal, Jitender Kumar Yadav and Ganga Singh. All 11 have been accused of promoting illegal construction without having a valid licence in Pataudi tehsil's Bhora Kalan area.
According to the complaint, these people "carved out the unauthorised colony and promoted unauthorised construction on agricultural land in violation of sections 7 (i), (ii) and (iii) of Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975." The violators didn't have licences permitting them the change of land use or to be a coloniser, but they sub-divided arable land into plots for carving out a colony. They even got sale deeds and mutations done for the plots.
The matter was raised in a district grievance committee meeting on March 30, and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had directed officials to take strict action.
Accordingly, the district town planner had sent a show-cause notice to the violators on April 11 this year. However, no reply was received. The DTP then issued a memo to restore the land use on April 20, but the violators didn't make any amendments. Finally, on April 30, a demolition drive was conducted in the area. Now, DTP (enforcement) Rajendra Sharma has recommended the FIR.
